Lincoln College Preparatory Academy students walk out due to safety concerns
On Monday, June 17, 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs rookie class, alumni and staff visited Lincoln College Preparatory Academy to kick off the “NFL Huddle for 100” campaign.
They painted railings, put some new mulch and put decals on football helmets. They also announced a partnership with the NFL Foundation, LISC, and KCPS to provide Lincoln with a $250,000 “Grassroots grant” to build a new football field at Lincoln that sits near the site of Municipal Stadium from 1963-71.

The “NFL Huddle for 100” campaign is a league-wide initiative, which hopes to inspire every fan to contribute 100 minutes of community service this year in honor of the NFL’s centennial season.

Philadelphia has declared every Friday in December “shop black businesses Fridays,” and by now I’m sure we’ve all seen “black creators” highlighted on platforms like Netflix and Hulu, or “black-owned brands” given special placement in stores like Target. Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Present a Legendary Pictures Production, A Film By Adam Wingard, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” It is slated for release nationwide only in theaters and IMAX on March 29, 2024 and beginning 27 March 2024 internationally, distributed by Warner Bros.
